PROCESS FOR PREPARING A REFRIGERATED RAM AND BILLY GOAT SEMEN PRODUCT AND PRODUCT PREPARED THEREBY

The invention relates to a process for obtaining a refrigerated semen product derived from ram and billy goat, viable for 5 days, used in zootechnics and veterinary medicine. According to the invention, the process consists in diluting the collected seminal material for a period of maximum 15 min in a dilution medium based on sodium citrate, glucose and egg yolk, wherefrom there result two fractions, at 32°C and 20°C, the second fraction containing the glycerin fraction, the resulting product being finally balanced, packaged and transported in cold conditions, there being obtained a seminal material having a fertility of 71% within 24 h after preservation, 68% fertility within 48 h and 64 or 53 % within 72 and 94h, respectively.
