The invention relates to a universal milling-cutter for obtaining the wooden correction plugs, used for the correction of loose black knots in timber, in order to improve the same. According to the invention, the milling cutter consists of a steel body (2), having four cutting tools (3, 4, 5 and 6) made of tungsten carbide, with a relief angle of 11° and a rake angle of 16°, as well as a bevel-cutting tool (8) made of tungsten carbide having a relief angle of 50°, a main setting angle of 45° and a rake angle of 0°, where, in order to obtain four different thicknesses of the wooden correction plugs (1), the bevel-cutting tool (8) is rigidly mounted, by means of a screw (7), in one of some holes (g1, g2, g3 and g4) placed at equal distance from one another, but at different distances in relation to the edge of the cutting tools (3, 4, 5 and 6).
