The invention relates to a power source with energy amplifier in magnetic field for LED lighting units. According to the invention, the source is supplied from the electric energy distribution network (2-1) at the level of a main input module (1-A), via a protection stage (2-2) and a transformation and rectification stage (2-3, 2-4), which provide two working voltages, one of 12 V for some control units, and the other of 24/48 V for the power consuming stages, an energy amplifier module (1-B) in magnetic field, which is made of a control oscillator stage, which controls the switch mode of a power control stage based on MOSFET or IGBT and which controls/supplies the main inductive stage of the power circuit and a final output module (1-C) for further bringing the so-obtained energy to a useful form.
