METHOD FOR FASHIONING PRIMARY ANASTOMOSIS IN EXTRA LOW INTRAABDOMINAL RESECTION OF RECTUM USING CIRCULAR STAPLER

The method for fashioning the primary anastomosis in extra low intraabdominal resection of the rectum using circular stapler provides for applying the purse-string suture onto the stump of rectus, first manually and then with the aid of the circular stapler. The uninterrupted suture is applied onto the stump of rectus through the anal canal. Following the complete circular involvement of the perimeter, the purse-string suture is tied also through the anal canal. Then staplers are applied by circular stapler.
