Transformation of somatic cells in induced reprogrammed neuronal stem cells (IRNSCS)

An in vitro method for producing Neuronal Stem Cells (NCS), comprising: a) providing somatic mammalian cells selected from the group of fibroblasts, keratinocytes and adipocytes; and b) reprogramming said somatic cells in NSC by introducing, in the somatic cells, at least two genes selected from the group of Bmi1 and Sox2 and culturing the somatic cells in a medium comprising growth factors selected from the group of FGF2, EGF and BDNF and a small molecule ROCK inhibitor.
