Procedure of teleprotection of the electrical network of in-line carrier currents, in which a guard signal is transmitted on a line (L) that propagates a digitally modulated signal (SE, SR) that has a passing band b, constituting the digitally modulated signal the guard signal, the procedure comprising a stage of transmission, by the line, of a teleprotection command signal (SC1, SC2) in response to the activation of a command (C1, C2), the command signal being transmitted by the command (C1, C2) by the transmission line and being comprised in a frequency band (SC1, SC2) which is a fraction of the band b, characterized in that the transmission stage of the teleprotection command signal is combined with a stage of interruption of the digitally modulated signal that follows in response to the activation of said command (C1, C2).
