A host cell grampositive able to modify such posttranslational a polypeptide of interest to a polypeptide containing dehydrated waste or thioether bridges, wherein the host cell comprises an expression vector comprising a nucleic acid construct encoding a fusion peptide comprising, the N-terminus to C, at least the following sequential elements: (a) N terminal signal sequence a lantibiotic which can recognize a dehydratase lantibiotic, and preferably also a cyclase lantibiotic. (B) An amino acid sequence of interest will be changed so posttranslational to a polypeptide containing dehydrated waste or thioether bridges. (C) A cell transmural hydrophilic domain. (D) A recognition motif sortasas. (E) A hydrophobic transmembrane domain. And (f) a C-terminal domain charged membrane anchor. And wherein the host cell is a lactic acid bacterium containing the corresponding lantibiotic biosynthesis enzymes and the lantibiotic transporter.
