The invention relates to the manufacture of a photovoltaic structure comprising a thin coating layer, generally transparent and conductive oxide, and deposited on top of a sublayer with photovoltaic properties. For the purposes of the invention, the deposition of the coating layer is carried out electrochemically in an electrolysis bath (1) and assisted at least in part by illumination from a light source (2).
