VOLTAGE SOURCE TYPE DC ICE MELTING AND STATIC SYNCHRONOUS COMPENSATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

A voltage source-type DC ice melting and static synchronous compensation device and method for controlling same. The device includes at least a basic converter unit which comprises a link reactor Ls, a modular multi-level converter MMC using a full-bridge submodule , switches K1, K2, K3, K4, and smoothing wave reactors Ld1, Ld2. Methods for transition between different function modes of the device can meet the requirements for safe and rapid deicing of transmission lines at various voltage levels; no harmonic pollution at an access point is caused, and dynamic reactive power compensation can be provided for the access point. The device can be used for a newly-constructed DC deicing project, and can also be used for upgrade and reconstruction of the DC deicing device in a DC deicing project having been constructed.
