DEVICE SUITABLE FOR VISUALLY SIGNALING THE PRESENCE OF IONIZING RADIATIONS IN AN ENVIRONMENT SURROUNDING THE DEVICE

The invention refers to a device suitable for signaling the presence of ionizing radiations in an environment surrounding such device. The signaling device comprises a detector (14) capable of verifying the presence, in said environment, of ionizing radiations and measuring the intensity thereof. The detector is connected to a processing unit (15) which, on the basis of that detected by the detector, suitably controls the actuation of means suitable for visually signaling, to a user of the device, the possible presence of ionizing radiations. The signaling means comprise a liquid crystal filter with transparency that can vary electrically and in a controlled manner. The more intense the detected radiations, the more opaque/darker the filter. In a first embodiment of the device that is the object of the invention, the liquid crystal filter is an integral part of a liquid crystal monitor to which the detector and the processing unit are connected. In a second embodiment, the liquid crystal filter is situated at at least one lens of a pair+of eyeglasses.
