Disclosed is a control method for an air deflector of an air conditioner. The air deflector is arranged at an air outlet of the air conditioner to adjust the direction of the discharged air. The control method comprises: during operation in a refrigeration mode, judging whether an air scavenging motion instruction is input or not; when the air scavenging motion instruction is not input, acquiring a set wind level, a set temperature T1 and an indoor ambient temperature T2; according to the set wind level, the set temperature T1 and the indoor ambient temperature T2, judging the size of a refrigeration demand of a user; and according to the size of the refrigeration demand of the user, controlling an air guide angle of the air deflector. In the control method, according to the three conditions, i.e. the set wind level, the set temperature and the indoor ambient temperature, the demand of the user is judged more accurately, and the air outlet direction is controlled according to the demand of the user, thereby realizing more user-friendly and more comfortable air supply control.
