Disclosed are a page layout adjusting method and a terminal, the method comprising: collecting, when a user operates the terminal with one hand, the palm lines of the user holding the terminal as identification palm lines; comparing the identification palm lines with preset standard palm lines to judge whether a left-hand holding operation or a right-hand holding operation is performed by the user; adjusting the screen interface to a left-hand page layout in case of the left-hand holding operation; and adjusting the screen interface to a right-hand page layout in case of the right-hand holding operation.
