The present invention provides a technique capable of analyzing a gene number abnormality by carrying out digital PCR for a blood or blood plasma sample of a pregnant woman in which the presence of a fetus-derived gene is detected, wherein a control gene not associated with the gene number abnormality and a target gene associated with the gene number abnormality, which are commonly preset in a mother-derived gene set and a fetus-derived gene set, are amplified by using digital PCR, and then the quantitative result of a digital PCR of the target gene is compared with the quantitative result of a digital PCR of the control gene when the quantitative result of the digital PCR with respect to the control gene satisfies the Poisson distribution, that is, when a control gene copy number per well is statistically near 1.
