This fastener stringer (1, 2, 3) has: a continuous fastener element (10, 60) comprising a meshing head portion (12, 62), a top and bottom leg portion (14, 64), and a continuous portion (15, 65, 66); and a tape-like element support material (20, 30) which has a bent portion (21, 31), a top leg supporting piece (22, 32) to which the top leg portion (13, 63) is sewn, and a bottom leg supporting piece (23, 33) to which the bottom leg portion (14, 64) is sewn. By forming slider fasteners (5, 5a, 6, 7) with such fastener stringers (1, 2, 3), it is not necessary to prepare numerous types of sliders adapted for the thicknesses of the materials (8, 9) that such fasteners are to be attached to. Moreover, juddering of the fastener element (10, 60) in an element guiding path of a slider (40) can be prevented and sliding of the slider (40) can be performed easily and stably.
