The present invention relates to a collection management system monitoring management states of each of a collection such as special relics, works of art, exhibits provided and exhibited in museums, exhibition halls, galleries and the like, or a collection in storage, so as to provide the monitored management states in real time, and the collection management system comprises: a plurality of location information providing devices arranged at predetermined intervals and transmitting corresponding location information and collection information; a reader for receiving the location information and the collection information transmitted from the location information providing devices; an entry and exit checking device provided at the entrance of a place where the plurality of location information providing devices are provided, checking the state of a registered manager entering and exiting through the entrance, and generating and transmitting entry and exit information on the basis of the checking results; and a collection management server for receiving the location information and the collection information inputted from the reader and storing the same while receiving the entry and exit information from the entry and exit check device and storing the same, and for transmitting, to a manager terminal, the location information linked to the collection information or providing the entry and exit information to the manager terminal upon a request for the collection information or the entry and exit information from the manager terminal. Therefore, the manager can manage relics or collections while precisely knowing the current states thereof.
