SYSTEM FOR RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING OF PIPELINE WELDS

The solution relates to devices for the non-destructive X-ray testing of pipeline welds. A system for the radiographic testing of pipeline welds contains: a source (5) of X-ray radiation, installed within a pipeline; and a data collection, processing and imaging unit, located on the outer surface of the pipeline and including at least one X-ray detector (2) and a processor (3) for storing imaged detector data. The said unit also includes a transmitter for transmitting imaged data from the processor to a receiver (4) of an operator. In another embodiment, the data collection, processing and imaging unit includes, for each detector (2), a processor (3) for storing imaged data and transmitters for transmitting imaged data from the processor to a receiver (4) of an operator.
