The objective of the present invention is to provide a transportable linear accelerator system and a transportable neutron source equipped therewith, which are capable of suppressing the entry of off-trajectory lost ion beams, so as to achieve a reduction in radioactivity, effectively and at low costs. To this end, the transportable linear accelerator system (100) has a constitution wherein a beam chopper (6) is provided immediately before the entrance (3a) of a subsequent stage accelerator (3), such that, among the proton beams pre-accelerated by a preceding stage accelerator (2), uncontrolled proton beams are eliminated, and only controlled proton beams are emitted to the subsequent stage accelerator (3), thereby preventing proton beams from colliding with an acceleration electrode, or the like, of the subsequent stage accelerator.
