The invention relates to a method for generating a personalised animated film, said method being performed by computer means and characterised in that it comprises steps consisting in: 1. receiving a digital photograph that reveals at least one personalised item; 2. associating the at least one personalised item with a base item belonging to a set of previously stored base items; and 3. generating an animated film from the at least one personalised item, the associated base item and a scenario comprising a pre-defined environment.
