The invention relates to a system and a method by which means the access to a parking complex can be controlled in a highly secure manner, using a system of infrared and visible light cameras, a mechanical system for obstructing access, and electronic and computer means. The invention also relates to a method involving various processes in order to ensure that the vehicles that are able to enter undergo a strict selection procedure.
