A reaction accelerator according to one embodiment of the present invention is used for a proteolysis reaction by means of a protease and contains at least one substance selected from the group consisting of a first anionic surfactant having a structure represented by general formula (1), a salt of the first anionic surfactant, a second anionic surfactant having a structure represented by general formula (6) and a salt of the second anionic surfactant. (In formula (1), R¹ represents a linear alkyl group having 6-22 carbon atoms or a branched chain alkyl group having 6-22 carbon atoms in the main chain; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.)
