The present invention provides a technique that can elucidate the change of a fluctuation factor of a target variable. This factor analysis apparatus is provided with: a retrieving unit for retrieving time-series data of a target variable that represents the result of an event and time-series data of an explanatory variable that represents a factor of the event from factor analysis data; a reference-value setting unit for setting a plurality of target variable reference values on the basis of the time-series data of the target variable; a degree-of-influence calculation unit for learning the plurality of set target variable reference values and the time-series data of the retrieved explanatory variable, generating a relational expression between the target variable reference value and the explanatory variable for each target variable reference value, and extracting a factor of the explanatory variable and the explanatory variable corresponding to the factor from the generated relational expression; and an output unit for outputting the extracted factor as a degree of influence and outputting an explanatory variable name related to the extracted explanatory variable.
