The present invention relates to a micro-device for detecting volatile compounds. Said micro-device includes: - an inlet (E) and an outlet (S); - means (2) for collecting a gas sample containing at least one compound to be detected; - sampling means for sampling a volume of gas of less than or equal to 100 mL arranged after the collecting means; - means (3) for injecting said gas sample; - means (6) for detecting the compound; and - a gas flow system (1) located downstream from the collecting means and passing through the sampling means, the injection means (3), the separation means (5), and the detection means (6). Said micro-device is characterized in that the gas flow system (1) has a volume between 0.2 cm³ and 2.0 cm³.
