In a healthcare support system (1), time-series data on the number of heart beats are acquired, then a characteristic amount relating to a second peak, i.e., a peak of the number of heart beats which appears subsequent to a first peak, i.e., a peak of the number of heart beats which appears after the start of the intake of a meal and in advance of the second peak, is calculated in every partial data contained in the time-series data on the number of heart beats, then the presence or absence of meal intake is determined in every partial data using the above-mentioned characteristic amount relating to the second peak which has been calculated in the corresponding partial data, and then the time of meal intake is estimated from a partial data in which it is determined that the meal is taken.
