Invention patent to a gas supply system with flow rate booster for electrical home appliances, and control knob for said gas supply system. The present invention pertains to the technological field of electrical home appliances and relates to a gas supply system for electrical home appliances, more specifically for cooking appliances, comprising an additional fuel flow rate boosting function at certain times, aimed at providing greater power for food preparation, besides allowing faster cooking and making available a greater diversity of power levels, thus improving use conditions in comparison with similar systems known from the prior art. The system basically comprises a control knob (10) which cooperates with a rod (11) which basically comprises a cylindrical duct with an inner channel (12); and a boosting device (30) which cooperates with the control knob (10) and with a secondary rod (31) housed in the inner channel (12) of the rod (1), wherein the free end of the secondary rod (31) cooperates with a flow rate control mechanism (33) which cooperates with a secondary cavity (21) of the flow rate control valve (20); the boosting device (30) is housed in an inner cavity of the control knob (10), and the control knob (10) and the boosting device (30) are independently movable, the control knob (10) being actuated by being rotated and the boosting device (30) being actuated by being radially moved.
