Disclosed are a radial bed with high-efficiency airflow distribution and a design method therefor, which are used for periodically operating and realizing the distribution of airflow with high efficiency and uniform pressures. The radial bed comprises a housing, a raw gas inlet (1), a production gas outlet (2), a pre-distribution end socket for outer channel (3), an outer channel (4), an inner channel (5), an outer porous plate or screen mesh (6), an active filler layer (7) and an inner porous plate or screen mesh (8). In the same operating cycle, the raw gas flow rate is equal to the process flow rate. The end of the raw gas inlet (1) has the maximum sectional area of the outer channel (4). The end of the production gas outlet (2) has the maximum sectional area of the inner channel (5). The sum of the pressure drop of the inner channel (5) and the pressure drop of the outer channel (4) is less than 5% of the pressure drop of the filler layer (7). The bed layer pressure drop of the radial bed is calculated by introducing the period and the yield of the radial bed operation, so as to determine the designed area of the inner channel (5) and the outer channel (4) of the radial bed.
