REAL-TIME MOTION SIMULATION METHOD FOR HAIR AND OBJECT COLLISIONS

Disclosed is a real-time motion simulation method for hair and object collisions. In the method: based on a small amount of pre-computation training data, a self-adaptive simplified model for a virtual hair style is generated, which is used for conducting selection and interpolation in real time and conducting collision correction, thereby realizing real-time high-quality motion simulation for hair and object collisions. The method mainly comprises the steps of: 1) simplified model pre-computation: based on pre-computation simulation data, selecting representative hairs and generating a simplified model; 2) real-time motion simulation and interpolation: clustering the representative hairs simulated in real time, to select the simplified model and conduct interpolation; and 3) collision correction: conducting collision detection and applying a correction force to the representative hairs to correct a collision situation. In the present invention, a real-time simulation method for hair and object collisions is proposed for the first time, which achieves an effect similar to that of off-line simulation while greatly reducing the time consumption of computation, can realize high-quality collision motion simulation for the hair style of a complex role, is superior to the existing method, and has the advantages of strong generality, and simple and convenient use.
