COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING ACETAMINOPHEN-INDUCED HEPATOTOXICITY, CONTAINING TNP(N2-(M-TRIFLUOROBENZYL) AND N6-(P-NITROBENZYL)PURINE) AS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating acetaminophen (AP)-induced hepatotoxicity, containing TNP(N2-(m-trifluorobenzyl) and N6-(p-nitrobenzyl)purine) as active ingredients. It is confirmed that TNP, which is known as an inhibitor for 5-inositol pyrophosphate, inhibits acetaminophen-induced cell death in human embryo stem cell-derived hepatocytes, mouse-derived hepatocytes and the human hepatoma cell line, increases reduced glutathione (GSH) concentration in hepatocytes, and inhibits phosphorylated JNK, which is a stress response increasing by acetaminophen, and it is also confirmed that the composition has the same protective effect against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity as in the animal model, and thus TNP can be used as an active ingredient in the composition for preventing and treating acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity.
