METHODS AND GATEWAY NODES FOR SERVING MULTIPLE PLMNS

A gateway node (12) serves multiple PLMNS that each includes a first network domain (14) and a second network domain (16). The gateway node (12) receives a request for the subscriber's location. The gateway node (12) generates a first query requesting information about a serving node (28A) that is serving the subscriber (24) in the first domain (14), and sends the first query towards a number portability function (22) serving the first domain (14). The gateway node (12) generates a second query to a subscriber database for the second domain (16), by addressing the second query using a response to the first query. The second query requests information about a serving node (28B) that is serving the subscriber (24) in the second domain (16). The second domain (16) is not served by a number portability function. The gateway node (12) sends the second query to the subscriber database for the second domain (16), and requests the subscriber's location from the serving node (28B) in the second domain (16).
