PURPOSE: A GTP(GPRS Tunnel Protocol) resource tracing apparatus and a method therefor are provided to recognize GTP resources allocated to a GTP-U message, real subscriber data, by tracing the GTP-U of a corresponding subscriber by using a TEID(Tunnel Identifier). CONSTITUTION: A call tracing unit receives a GTP-U tracing request including tracking information on a tracing-target subscriber from an operator through an MMI(Man Machine Interface)(S610) and sets a GTP-U tracing function according to the GTP-U tracking request of the operator(S620). The GTP-U tracing unit traces a GTP-U on traffic through an SGSN(Serving GPRS Serving Node) matching unit and an Internet matching unit, and when a tracing-target GTP-U is detected, the GTP-U tracing unit transmits GTP resource information occupied by a corresponding message to the call tracing unit(S640). The call tracing unit reports the received GTP resource information to the operator through the MMI(S660).
