The present invention provides: a diamino-2-(benzothiazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether, which is a novel unsymmetrical diamine, and a derivative thereof; an aminonitro-2-(benzothiazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether and a dinitro-2-(benzothiazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether, which are precursors of the above-described compound; and derivatives of these precursors. In addition, the inventors provide: a diamino-2-(benzoxazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether, which is a novel unsymmetrical diamine, and a derivative thereof; an aminonitro-2-(benzoxazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether and a dinitro-2-(benzoxazole-2-yl)diphenyl ether, which are precursors of the above-described compound; and derivatives of these precursors.
