The invention relates to designs of devices for radiating sound, more specifically to designs of radiating units for headphones. The technical result of the invention is an increase in the acoustic power of a radiating unit along with a reduction in parasitic resonances. The electrodynamic radiating unit for a headphone comprises a housing, a movable diaphragm, at least one surface of which is provided with conductors, and a magnetic system arranged on at least one side of the diaphragm and formed from a multiplicity of adjacent permanent magnets. The invention differs from the closest prior art in that the permanent magnets are of semicircular shape in cross section facing in the direction of the diaphragm, and the distance between adjacent magnets is a minimum of 2/3 of the width of the above-mentioned permanent magnets. In another variant of the electrodynamic radiating unit, the permanent magnets are of trapezoidal shape in cross section.
