The present invention relates to a fluidized bed classification method that can be used in fluidized bed furnace systems for which extraction of incombustibles along with a fluid medium is necessary in a fluidized bed furnace for burning waste such as urban garbage, refuse-derived fuel (RDF), waste plastic, waste FRP, biomass waste, automotive waste, and waste oil, or burning solid combustibles such as solid fuels that include incombustibles such as coal. In the fluidized bed classification method: mixed material (A) is input into a coarse classification section (1) divided from a fine classification section (2) by a partition wall (3); while supplying flowing air to the coarse classification section (1), comparatively large foreign matter (L) and foreign matter with a high relative density (H) are eliminated in the coarse classification section (1); the mixed material from which foreign matter (L, H) has been eliminated is guided to the fine classification section (2) mainly passing over the partition wall (3); and while supplying flowing air to the fine classification section (2), foreign matter (S) is further eliminated in the fine classification section (2).
