Disclosed are a method for detecting a sharing terminal using a type of a browser, and an apparatus thereof. The apparatus for detecting the sharing terminal detects the sharing terminal based on the number of different cookie information by type of an internet access browser, which has been figured out for a preset period after figuring out the cookie information provided to the terminal in a server which the terminal is to access, and the type of the internet access browser by analyzing internet access traffic if the internet access traffic of the terminal is received.
