The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing boron potassium fluoride (KBF_4) from high-concentration waste hydrofluoric acid generated during a process of slimming glass substrates. To this end, the method for manufacturing KBF_4 according to the present invention comprises the following steps: dissolving a compound containing boron (B) in wasted hydrofluoric acid containing HF to produce a solution containing HBF_4; and adding a compound solution containing potassium (K) to the HBF_4 solution, or adding the generated HBF_4 solution to the compound solution containing K to precipitate KBF_4. According to the present invention, KBF_4 can be stably obtained through a process of mixing HBF_4, generated by adding a compound containing B to react with HF contained in the waste hydrofluoric acid, and a compound solution containing K, thus expensive KBF_4 can be produced domestically to reduce foreign currency due to import substitution. In addition, as F ions contained in waste hydrofluoric acid are precipitated in KBF_4 to decrease the concentration of F ions contained in the solution, costs required for waste water treatment can be reduced, and environmental pollution due to hydrofluoric acid wastewater can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
