The present invention relates to a separation and purification method of catechins contained in an extract of tea leaves and, more specifically, to a separation and purification method of catechins contained in tea leaves, which comprises the steps of: obtaining an extract of tea leaves; obtaining a fraction comprising catechins and concentrating the same by using ethyl acetate and dichloromethane and utilizing liquid-liquid partition of the extract; and collecting the fraction of the concentrated catechins with respect to the polarity of various catechins by controlling the polarity of eluate in a stepwise manner.
