The present invention relates to a system and a method for predicting a landslide using rainfall infiltration characteristics. An objective of the present invention is to provide a system and a method for quantitatively predicting a landslide risk considering rainfall which has the great influence on a landslide, a geometric characteristic (a slope), and an engineering characteristic (an unsaturation characteristic) of a mountain area composition material. To achieve the objective, the system for predicting a landslide using rainfall infiltration characteristics according to the present invention comprises: a thematic map of slope angle generation unit to generate a numerical altitude model based on numerical topographic data for a target area, and a thematic map of slope angle based on a contour vector array of the generated numerical altitude model; an infiltration stability analysis unit to use an infinite slope model capable of applying hydraulic and dynamic characteristics and a slope of an unsaturated ground to perform infiltration stability analysis according to rainfall characteristics including a rainfall intensity and a rainfall duration; and a risk derivation unit to combine the thematic map of slope angle generated by the thematic map of slope angle generation unit and an analysis result analyzed by the infiltration stability analysis unit to generate a steep slope land collapse prediction model, and analyze a steep slope land collapse risk according to a rainfall scenario in a slope of steep slope land extracted by the thematic map of slope angle generation unit.
