The present invention relates to a partial discharge monitoring and diagnosing system for power equipment using a signal detecting method based on a statistical phase pattern to remotely detect a partial discharge in internal power equipment and a power device system housing such as a high-voltage cable, a transformer, a gas insulated switchgear (GIS), a switch, faucet equipment, and a switchboard. The system comprises: a sensor unit which is installed in the housing, and includes multiple transient earth voltage (TEV) sensors detecting an electrical signal of transient earth voltage (TEV) partially generated by a partial discharge in power equipment; a local device which is installed in a local area, receives the electrical signal of the transient earth voltage detected by the sensor unit, converts the electrical signal into a digital signal, extracts pulse data, synchronizes the extracted pulse data by a voltage phase, and transmits the synchronized data; and a central server which receives the phase pulse data synchronized by the phase from the local device, generates a phase pattern distribution representing distribution of pulses according to phases from the received phase pulse data, extracts a feature amount from the phase pattern distribution, and confirms a partial discharge or a type of partial discharge. By the power device system as described above, a statistical pattern and features thereof are extracted with respect to the electrical signals measured by the transient earth voltage sensor, the occurrence and type of partial discharge are detected through an artificial neural network, and thus it is possible to more easily and accurately analyze partial discharge.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
