The present invention relates to a method to determine the noncontact of an electrode in a brainwave detecting device including multiple brainwave detecting electrodes. The method includes: a step (a) of detecting a brainwave signal from the brainwave detecting electrodes; a step (b) of extracting two phase values of the brainwave signal, detected from the different brainwave detecting electrodes; a step (c) of calculating a phase deviation value about a difference between the phase values, extracted at the step (b); and a step (d) of determining the noncontact of the corresponding brainwave detecting electrodes if the phase deviation value, calculated at the step (c), corresponds to preset noncontact standards. Therefore, the present invention is capable of more accurately measuring a brainwave signal by determining whether the brainwave detecting electrodes touch the skin of a user such as the forehead or not in real time by using the difference between the phase values of the brainwave signal, received from not less than two channels.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
