The present invention relates to an apparatus which can be linked to a mobile terminal to be used and a method for measuring an air pollution level, and more specifically, to an apparatus for measuring an air pollution level, which calculates a final air pollution level based on an air pollution level calculated by controlling a semiconductor gas sensor connected to a mobile terminal and weather information received from an officially approved institution to increase measurement precision of the air pollution level, and a method for measuring an air pollution level using the same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for measuring an air pollution level linked to a mobile terminal comprises: a power supply unit to supply power to a semiconductor gas sensor disposed to measure an air concentration when connection to a mobile terminal is completed to activate the semiconductor gas sensor; a resistance measurement unit to measure a resistance value of the semiconductor gas sensor activated by the power supply unit; a data collection unit to collect raw data according to a change of the resistance value measured by the resistance measurement unit; and a data transmission unit to transmit the raw data collected by the data collection unit to the mobile terminal.
