A device for relaying the trade of a character identity according to the present invention comprises: a user interface for providing an interface to a user; a communication interface for providing an interface between multiple copyright owner servers having the copyrights of multiple characters respectively and a community managing server, receiving the request of a user, who has registered at a specific community, for a character identity, and collecting the activity information of the user in the corresponding community; a member information storing part for storing and managing the information of users who have registered as members to trade character identities; a character copyright owner managing part for matching, storing and managing information on copyright owners corresponding to multiple characters respectively; a character matching information storing part for storing and managing the matching information of character identities; and a control part for identifying a copyright owner server corresponding to a character from the character copyright owner managing part in response to the request for a character identity, connecting to the copyright owner server via the communication interface to relay the trade of a character identity between the user, who has requested the character identity, and the copyright owner server, and storing the matching information of the user having accomplished the trade and the character in the character matching information storing part.
