The present invention relates to a method for providing position tracking and gesture recognition using wireless LAN, and a computer-readable recording medium for the same. The present invention relates to a technology of achieving position tracking and gesture recognition by using generally wireless LAN in general and, more specifically, to a technology of tracking the position of persons moving in the vicinity of a receiver and recognizing gestures of the persons by processing a wireless LAN signal received after being reflected from an external object and detecting an angle of arrival (AoA) and Doppler shift. According to the present invention, the functions of position tracking and gesture recognition for a person moving in the vicinity of a wireless LAN signal receiver can be accurately achieved by utilizing a wireless LAN technology which can be currently implemented inexpensively.
