A system and method for offering food information including, inter alia, childrens indulgence foods and supporting the purchase of the foods, comprising: a step in which a food identifier is input into a controlling unit via a terminal; a step in which the controlling unit calls from a food information DB the food information that corresponds to the food identifier; a step in which the controlling unit compares nutrition facts with the food criteria previously stored in a food quality discriminant criteria DB; a step in which the controlling unit determines whether the nutrition facts meet the food criteria; a step in which the controlling unit calculates, when the nutrition facts fail to meet the food criteria, an intake pattern using the nutrition facts and food criteria according to a preestablished method; and a step in which the terminal outputs the food information and intake pattern thus calculated.
