The present invention relates to an automated external defibrillator (AED) automatically connected to a medical professional in an emergency situation and a controlling method thereof, wherein the AED is automatically turned on and connected to an emergency medical station, and is operated in accordance with voice guidance of the medical professional only if an AED cover is opened. The method for controlling the AED in accordance with the present invention, comprises steps of: sensing opening of the AED cover, wherein the AED senses whether the AED cover is opened, and a cover open signal is transmitted to an emergency medical station server if the AED cover is opened; notifying an emergency situation, wherein the emergency medical station, which received the cover open signal, transmits an emergency situation notifying signal to a terminal of the medical professional and a terminal of an emergency car or an emergency medical technician; automatically turning on a power switch, wherein the AED is turned on as soon as the AED cover is opened in the step of sensing the opening of the AED cover, and a power-on signal of the power switch and a location information signal of the AED are transmitted to the emergency medical station server; initiating signal transmission and transmitting location information, wherein after the step of automatically turning on the power switch, the emergency medical station server transmits a signal transmission initiating signal to the terminal of the medical professional, and transmits the signal transmission initiating signal and the location information signal of the AED to the terminal of the emergency car or the emergency medical technician; and initiating the voice guidance, wherein after the step of initiating signal transmission and transmitting location information, the terminal of the medical professional initiates transmission of a voice guidance signal to the AED.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
