TRAM PRIORITY SIGNAL CONTROL SYSTEM WORKING IN ASSOCIATION WITH ROAD TRAFFIC SYSTEM

Provided is a tram priority signal control system for a prior pass on an intersection of a tram, to obtain punctuality of the tram in road environment in which both the tram based on a track and general vehicles are operated. According to a desirable embodiment of the present invention, the tram priority signal control system includes: a tram wayside device installed in a tram vehicle and including a GPS receiver for positioning; a tram signal control device installed in the intersection, extracting real time detection information of the tram vehicle by being linked with the tram wayside device, and requesting a prior signal to a traffic signal controller on the intersection when a prior signal control is necessary; and a tram positioning device monitoring the position of the each tram vehicle according to position information from the tram wayside device in real time and performing vehicle dispatch management of the tram vehicle. According to the present invention, the tram priority signal control device installed on the intersection is linked with the tram wayside device to extract the real time detection information of the tram vehicle and requests the prior signal to the traffic signal control device on the intersection when the control of the prior signal is necessary, thereby obtaining the punctuality of operating the tram.
