The present invention provides a method for producing a target protein via suspension culturing of transgenic rice cells, which comprises the following steps of: (a) suspense-culturing transgenic rice cells in a sugar-rich medium by using an expression vector including a gene encoding a promoter and a target protein operating when sugar is deplete to grow the rice cells; and (b) transferring the rice cells to an alternative carbon source-containing medium having no sugar and culturing the rice cells to produce a target protein from the rice cells. In addition, the present invention provides a method for producing a target protein by recycling transgenic rice cells, which comprises the following steps of: (a) suspense-culturing transgenic rice cells in a sugar-rich medium by using an expression vector including a gene encoding a promoter and a target protein operating when sugar is deplete to grow the rice cells; (b) transferring the rice cells to a medium including a mixture of fumaric acid and sucrose and culturing the rice cells to produce a target protein from the rice cells; and (c) transferring the cultured rice cells to a new medium including a mixture of fumaric acid and sucrose and culturing the rice cells to produce a target protein from the rice cells. According to the present invention, productivity can be improved at low costs and high efficiency in mass-production of recombinant proteins from transgenic rice cells.
