The present invention relates to a novel Atractylodes mottle virus gene found in Atractylodes ovata (Thunb.) DC. More specifically, the present invention relates to an Atractylodes mottle virus gene comprising a base sequence represented by sequence number 1, a recombinant vector comprising the Atractylodes mottle virus gene, and a host cell transformed by the recombinant vector. According to the present invention, the gene of the present invention can contribute to distribution of disease-free host plants including Atractylodes ovata (Thunb.) DC. and also to quality improvement.
