An Internet of Things (IoT) based weapons control system according to the present invention comprises: weapons storage devices which sense the weight applied to a cradle for holding weapons, transmit the sensed weight to the outside, and open or close a door according to a command from the outside; sensor devices which are installed inside or outside a building of an institution that possesses the weapons, sense intrusion of outsiders and disasters, and transmit the sensing result to the outside; a database which stores sensing information obtained by the weapon storage devices and the sensor devices and schedule information of the institution, and stores situational condition information, situational measures information, and situational authority information; manager terminals which show a received request if the request for measures against a situation is received from the outside, receive information about measures against the situation, and transmit the received information to the outside; and a server which determines, whenever sensing information is provided from one among the weapons storage devices and the sensor devices, a situation by comparing the sensing information with the sensing information, the schedule information and the situational condition information that are pre-stored in the database, reads situational measures information corresponding to the situation, transmits a door opening/closing command to the weapons storage device if the situational measures information is to directly transmit the door opening/closing command, transmits a measures request message to a manager terminal of a situational authority which is set to correspond to the related situation if not so, and transmits the measures request message to the weapons storage device if the measures request message is received from the manager terminal.
