The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating gastrointestinal disorder, containing Angelica decursiva Franchet et Savatier extract, a nodakenin or nodakenetin compound isolated from the same, as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the extract or the compound has shown excellent efficacy in gastrointestinal motility promotion in an experiment using a white rat to test gastrointestinal motility by injecting a charcoal meal.
