LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS CARRIER AND APPARATUS FOR TREATMENT BOG OF A LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS CARRIER

The present invention relates to an apparatus for disposing of boil-off gas (BOG) of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier which generates power using surplus BOG to consume the generated power through a resistance unit to dispose of the BOG. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for disposing of BOG of an LNG carrier comprises: an LNG storage tank to store LNG; a dual fuel oil power generator which operates in an oil mode, a gas mode, and a fuel sharing mode, and uses BOG produced in the LNG storage tank to generate power in the gas mode or the fuel sharing mode; and a first resistance unit to use the BOG produced in the LNG storage tank to consume surplus power if an amount of power generated by the dual fuel oil power generator is larger than an amount of power required by the LNG carrier.
