The present invention relates to a shell-and-tube type reactor for reforming natural gas and a preparation method of syngas or hydrogen gas using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a shell-and-tube type reactor for reforming natural gas which comprises at least one tube for separating hydrogen, and a tube for exothermic reaction or a heat exchanger for heat radiation which are arranged at the center of the reactor. The shell-and-tube type reactor of the present invention has a reaction catalyst for reforming natural gas filled inside the shell of the reactor and has excellent driving efficiency. Also, the shell-and-tube type reactor can produce high purity hydrogen and collect carbon dioxide as the reaction begins. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing syngas or hydrogen gas using the shell-and-tube type reactor.
